The Stuart SSM5 benchtop, digital, orbital shaker uses 230V at speeds between 250 to 1,250rpm, and has continuous or timed shaking, an orbital motion range of 1.5mm, a control knob for speed and time adjustment, an LED, and a non-slip mat. This shaker provides high-speed vibrational mixing action required for mixing small volumes contained within well plates and microcentrifuge tubes. This unit has continuous or timed shaking between one second to 90 minutes, one minute to nine hours, or in minutes-only mode up to 9,999 minutes for ease of operation. Speed can be set in 10rpm increments. Commonly-used speed and time values can be saved for future use. The orbital motion provides uniform mixing with a smooth continuous circular action. A single control knob adjusts speed and time, and an LED shows speed in rpm or minutes remaining. The shaker comes with a non-slip mat to hold up to four microtitre plates. Additional accessories (sold separately) allow mixing of microcentrifuge tubes.
